As an externally focused initiative of McCourt, the Lab's strength and uniqueness is its focus on innovation and its accountability to the community and to a group of partners who share a common goal. As the Lab has matured, its partnerships have grown.
This year, the Lab’s partners include others in the Georgetown community, i.e. the Office of Community Engagement, including its Anacostia working group; the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, the Beeck Center for Social Impact & Innovation, and Center for Public and Nonprofit Leadership. Community partners included the DC Appleseed Center for Law and Justice; the Anacostia Waterfront Trust/Federal City Council; the Anacostia Park and Community Collaborative; Bread for the City; National Housing Trust/Galen Terrace; POAH/Garfield Hills; PSA (Police Service Area) 702 and numerous individuals; 11th Street Bridge Park Project; and DC Department of Small & Local Business Development, Tech & Innovation. These partners and others have so generously shared their time, knowledge, and experience with us.
